Deepak Nabam, founder and Chairman of Deepak Nabam Living Home (A Home for No Home), has formally received an invitation from the President of India to attend the Independence Day “At Home” reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 15, 2025, as a special guest. The invitation was delivered by a team from the Postal Department, led by Assistant Superintendent of Post Offices, Itanagar, Jayantha Bhattacharya.
Expressing his gratitude, Deepak said the recognition of his modest work felt as though the President had extended the honour to all the destitute residents of his centre. “It is a moment of immense joy for me that my small efforts are being acknowledged at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” he added.
It’s truly a dream come true. Never in my life did I imagine that this small effort of mine would one day reach as far as the doorsteps of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It’s really an Honour not only for me but also for the socially disadvantaged, vulnerable groups and mentally challenged residents in this Destitute.
